Smile I looove my Grey's breath! Your greys breath comes from whatever you're feeding her. It's nothing to worry about.

Bad breath can be a sign of illness, like Sue said..and it could just be what you're feeding her like Shirin said. What exactly does it smell like? Confused

That smell most likely indicates that something is wrong. If she opens her mouth, try to see if there is a false membrane in the back of it-- it will look like a smooth white growth. There are about three causes for that; one is a vitamin A deficiency. Another possibility for the smell is infection. Study the poop, too, so you can show the vet what looks abnormal about it. If you do the detective work to show the vet what the symptoms are and give him as much information as possible, even some potential causes, maybe he can find a treatment. At least he might be able to give you a diagnosis.

With an infection of the mouth, the bird will have a wet mouth, a normal bird will have a dry mouth. If it is dry then it is more then likely just bad breath, just like me and you we smell like what we eat, it could be something as simple as reguration (throw up) that they normal do to show affection.
