I have Zachariah who was neglected for 9 yrs (check my site for his story) anyways he HATES EVERYONE except me. I adopted him 2 yrs ago. The thing is anytime I talk to him or handle, he goes into "feeding" mode. He is completely oblivious to anything I do to him. I actually clipped his nails yesterday! And I'm telling you he is a nasty biter! He just kid of looked at me funny then continued trying to feed me. My question is should I break him of this? Or should I just ignore it? Again he has been doing this since the day he came to our home. Maybe he's thankful... Any suggestions? |

That's wonderful that you can do those things to him! (Clipping his nails!)
Though it might look cute, I wouldn't encourage him feeding you. Don't punish him for doing that. Just distract him and reward him if he lets himself being distracted.
Good luck! YOu're doing great! |

That's the thing I can't distract him... I definately wouldn't punish him, I just talk to him and say thank you..... It's nice to be able to handle him because he's been so neglected and he's adorable!! Actually that's the only way he can be handled because of his biting |
