| is this normal? |
|
|
Every time Oskar regurgitates for me...I don't really pay attention to it, so he'll stop.... but sometimes he starts to make a faint whimpering sound...it almost sounds like a baby cooing....
is that normal for that behaviour or is it just him?
I'm not very worried about it, because he only does it few times and far between........
I just find it a little odd....

Forget about it, Oskar regurgitates for you now and will aways. The only thing you can hope for is maybe not so often. You are right to ingnore it. But it won't go away. The nosie, a CAG can and will make noise, that is thier thing to make noises. I would not worry about it. If it is assocated with the regurgitating, or other breeding behivor then ingnore it as well. But if not you might want to incourge this as you would with anything you want him to do.

I did laugh when I read this forum....
When my CAG started being like this, I panicked immediately!
I rang the vet and the breeder
Both of them told me more or less the same thing ... the breeder was a little more forthcoming with the answer than the vet (i think vet was embarrased)
Apparently, when they regurgitate, they are giving you a present cos they love you.. (much as a cat does when he brings a live mouse in the cat flap at three in the morning, and then watches while you re-arrange the kitchen units trying to catch it!!)
And the panting, well, not to put too finer point to it... You are their 'mate'.. ... they love you ... .... they want to 'show' you ... .... are you catching where I'm coming from or going to?.. .... there now!!!! |

Misty is awful with the panting. She sounds like someone having a hard time catching her breath. Lucky she doesn't regurgitate to much. Now Charlie(YNA) he regurgitates when I sing. I'm not sure if he's being a critic or what.......... |
