Major Break through  Reply with quote

Today Cody our rescue CAG step up on my Arm for the first time. He was shakeing and scared, but he did step up and stayed. Of I was giving him peanuts pices as fast as I could get them in front of his face. (Shell, unsalted and roasted peanuts cut into bite size pices). We are so peoud of him. He even let me give him scarchs for awhile..This was amazing, a rescue Grey can take years before this happens...

This is great news. A great step forward for Cody. I hope he continues to build his trust and realize how much good you are doing for him.

It is slow going. He has step up for a little while each day. But today he got excited and thought he was a bird or something that can fly.... Anyway he can, and didn't, but he can fly like a rock Shocked Shocked . He is alright but I after I got him back to his cage, I feel as though I took a step backwards... Oh well I have got time.

John is so excited maybe having a grey that likes him......although Misty tolerates him better than she used to. He is doing a great job with Cody as he does with all our feathered kids.

Well after the first time flying (or trying) I think he figured out that I did not do it. I am almost back to where he will step up again. It loves it when I come over and pay attiton to him, he made kiss'es sounds this morning, so I will try to get him to step up again in the morning, but only after all the other birds are in lock up. He was cage bound, so he is still very shy about leaving his cage.
