Hi,
i was wondering if anyone has any advise on nail clipping/filing? I took my Grey,Trego to have his wings clipped and nails cut a fewe months ago to the breeder we bought him from. I wouldnt dare doing the wing clipping myself - but saw they use an emory board or nail file for nile filing.
Should I do this myself? |

You can do it yourself if he will tolerate it. |

Wing clipping isn't that hard. If you know how to do it. I do it myself.

I also cut the nails of my birds, but I think I'd rather advise to file..
Note that you should know how to do this! Please find someone who can show you how to do it! |

Sure, you can file they're nails, if they let you and if you have the help with at least one other person in case they don't let you. It's much less headache to just take them to the vet and it doen't cost much. Once, maybe twice a year for nail trimmings. Make sure you have a couple cement or filing type perches in his cage too. This helps naturally keep their nails filed |
