$28.50 to have them come to my house and do it. They said that who ever did the wing trim at super pet did a sloppy job. I find that super pet doesn't know anything about birds, not really.

Laughing oh you don't have to tell me that, Super Pet is awful! They butcher a bird's feathers with a pair of dull scissors, and they charge you like $10 for it.

$28.50 for everything? Nials, beak, wings, and DNA sexing?! Wow, that's really cheap! What city are they from?

Thanks for the recomendation Lisa Smile It certainly is a lot cheaper than doing the grooming at the vet. I will try them next time I need my birdies groomed.

RE: TP roll and how much  Reply with quote

Try using adding machine rolls. I wind this through some of my birds cages and they just love it. (particularly my eclectus)

As for the time spent, I would be a little cautious, as birds get used to the time out and time spent together. Greys are known for being pluckers and are very sensitive, so I would do it very gradually if you are going that route.

Teaching your birds to not have a set rigid schedule is very important, I too give them a varied time schedule, at the moment I am working at a school and have the summers off. Because they have been trained to be out of their cage on a varied time they don't get overly upset if they don't come out the same time every day......vary their time out of the cage. Of course I do try to let my birds out for a big chunk of the day.....but somedays it is not possble.

I totally agree with you Tia, Apollo doesn't know when to expect to come out, so he doesn't scream or beg to be let out. It's good like that especially when you can't guarantee that you'll be on the same schedule for the time that you've got the bird with you!!! Smile

You know, I open my birds cages in the morning after uncovering them & they are left open, normally, until I got to bed. Unless of course, I need to go somewhere during the day. But I know it will be rough on Manu if & when I go back to work, & I will difinitely have to ease him into the routine.
