Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean, is he completely lying on his back? Is he conscious? Sounds like an emergency situation. I suggest getting him to an avian vet or the nearest emergency animal hospital as soon as possible. |

Is he tucking his head onto his back? If so, then there's nothing to worry about.. It's just that he tries to do as full grown birds who tuck their beak into their feathers on their backs. |

That's not what it sounds like to me, I think she means the bird was actually lying on his back like a dead bird. But maybe I'm not understanding properly. |

Did he used to sleep on a perch before? Or has he always slept on the floor. I don't know at what age parrots start perching, so I don't know if it's normal for him to be sleeping on the floor, but if this sleeping on the floor thing is new, then it doesn't sound like it's normal. The fact that his breathing is not clear when he's sleeping also is not normal. I'm sorry, I don't know what we can do for you, we're not vets and can't give medical advice.

I'm not sure about the feeding, but generally I feed them until they are full, or i can feel a crop that is fairly full.
and at ten weeks old, may be your baby is just learning to perch, and doesn't quite know how to tuck his head under his wings like normal bird sleeping pattern. How is he sleeping now? I've seen Apollo falling asleep on his perch when he is really really tired, but he doesn't want to go to sleep yet, he generally hangs his head backwards kinda thing, looks like he's so out of it.. hehehe... |

not all birds will scream, or make really loud noises. Your baby is still young. It took my Apollo till like three months old before he belted out his full scream... |

you still have a little baby, don't forget that. he needs time to learn new things like sleeping on a perch, making sounds etc. he is doing well as i can read. maybe you could give him 1 more meal in the evening. just check that his crop is not empty for the night. let him have a full belly to sleep on.
our grey started to speak when he was 1 year old. it really depends on each bird. don't force anything, it will come. if he is making little noises he is ok. you can try to whistle some melodies. easy ones to start with. it will come. don't worry |
