Did anyone else see the story on "N'kisi" the african grey who has a vocabulary of 950 words, he can also put them into context in conversation but the most amazing part is he has been reported to be telapathic! He will comment on things his owner is doing elsewhere and what she is thinking about.
Does anyone have stories of their birds doing super bird stuff? Mine comes out with funny phrases I haven't taught him and he knows when I'm coming home and starts imitating the telephone. He also knows when I'm asleep and when I'm faking to try and lay in. |

Yeah, I saw it.. It's amazing isn't it?!
I sometimes think they must be knowing what I am thinking, but not as much as this super grey..
I think they can tell a lot by the way you're breathing. They watch each other quite closely, did you notice?
They can see a lot as their eyes are placed differently than our eyes..
Also, they can see predator birds from a great distance.
Zazu spotted predator birds for us during our holiday. We went for a walk and I NEVER saw that many predator birds (while he was sitting on my arm) as I was watching up when he'd stare to the sky. |
