| good luck on decision-making |
|
|
thanks for the good wishes, everyone! i needed a moment with Sake after writing that, it was hard to do. sake leaned against me and closed his eyes, and a few tissues later, i'm ready to talk some more...
Tonya, best of luck about making your decision! had i not seen Sake in his previous place and found out about the lack of attention, i would never have started with a grey as my first bird - i agree, they are intimidating, maybe more than any other bird. the expressive eyes, for me, help a LOT in reading his mood, but i can understand how they could also make one nervous... Sake can be such a stinker in addition to being a sweetie, but i do think compared to 'toos that he is low maintenance with respect to being able to amuse himself. i don't know if that is for all greys, although shirin's post was really great and informative as possible about greys in general. my Sake fits most of it, although the fact that he is bonded to me has NOT made him bad with other people - i don't know if i am just lucky, or if it is something in the way we work with him, or what.... i don't know enough to say, unfortunately.
i can't advise, of course, but am really curious to hear whether Henry joins your home. let us know!

Dim, this really touches me.. It is amazing how birds can feel our hurt..
You've got yourself there a real friend for life.
I think you won a lot out of the lottery.
Please give Sake a hug from me.. |
