Check out my home page for Ziggy pics. We have had a fantastic week. A bit worried he wasn't eating enough at one point so got some sweet potato and gave him that warm, he loved it and it prompted him to eat more from his bowl before bedtime. He has been eating really well since, although no Harrisons yet. He loves his new toys and the cat tunnel I got today was a big hit. I was astonished when I put his harness on today, he had only seen it three days and played with it. It is a fantastic new harness and is so easy to put on. He wasn't bothered in the slightest and loved being outside. He has been much more vocal today, making lots of new sounds. Pico is very happy too, they have been about six inches away from each other with no negative body language. He is amazing and so well adjusted for one so young, I am absolutely thrilled! |

Oh my goodness! He is just adorable! And the cat tunnel looks like a riot, I will have to get one for my sennie!
It sounds like things are going terrific! I'm glad that you have introduced him/her (?) to a harness, the younger they are when introduced to anything, the easier it seems to go, & the better adapted the bird is! |

The harness is fairly new, certainly in the UK. It is much better than the one I got for Pico. I have given up on that! It is called 'The Aviator' and comes with a DVD, it is unbelievably easy to get on. Ziggy wasn't so keen today but because it is so easy I still managed it and we went for a little walk. He loved it and was preening and beak grinding merrily. It was designed to use with a flight line too although these aren't available here yet.
It is also escape proof. It is from a company called theparrotuniversity.com
I got the basket ball set for Pico but he just wants to stand on top of it. I will teach Ziggy how to do it though.
I had both Ziggy and my little cavalier on the sofa today, Jasmine (the dog) is really cool about Ziggy now, a little excited at first but she knows because of the training with Pico that she will get evicted if she miss behaves. Ziggy was totally unflustered by her and just sat getting his cuddles. It has been a fantastic week, Ziggy is stepping up every time now and knows 'down'. Pico has been fantastic and seems to be enjoying having Ziggy around. He has been far less moody. I'm so thrilled I could burst!!! |

I have just an old fashioned feather teather for Manu, but I have heard great things about the Aviator harness! |
