hi
i have had my parrot for a few months now and it was last week when this new noise started
it sounds like a duck quacking but we dont live anywhere near ducks so does anyone know what it means
i think it is a female bird because of the name polly
and is 2 this year from the ring on the leg
any help will be great

amazones are famous for imitating noises. evenif you think he has never heard it where you live, he/she might be have heard it somewhere.
even the name is Polly, that doesn't mena you have a girl. only a bloodtest can find out for you what it is.
i have 3 amazones of 45, 9 and 4 years old. they all make all kind of noises. maybe your Polly is learning a new sound. nothing to be worried about.
