Charlie asking a question!  Reply with quote

The other day John came home from work and went into the bird room with his pocketful of little pieces of nuts. Our birds just love to meet him at the door.........but alas he forgot to put on a bird room t-shirt and had to leave the room to go change. Charlie speaks up just as clear as can be "where did Dad go to?". We laughed so hard. His other thing he picked up is "want a drink?". I'm not sure where he got that one from. Don't you just love it when they surprise you like that? Heart

That is sooo cool! I can't believe how appropriate he uses his words.
Does John have a special shirt for the birdroom?!

These guys say hello when the phone rings too. What gets us is they do in when our cell phones ring.. Even if we change the ring tones! Mine is a rooster crow and they love it. I have a desk I sew on near the cages and my cell was on it. I had it on silent so when it would get a call it just vibrated. Angel said hello 4 times each time alittle louder. LOL Parrots are soooo smart!!

Thats funny J&C, When i put freddy back in his cage in the morning he says Bye Bye, then i feel sad for putting him way but i am usually rushing cause he makes me late every day anyway!!
Then at nite if i put him away he says nite nite.

I know how you feel about putting them up.....sad. We are lucky that ours can mostly stay out. There are only a few that get restricted time as they don't always interact well but I think eventually they will. It is all just a matter of time and patience. None of them ever say goodnight or nite nite even though we always say goodnight. Misty yesterday said "Hi Kids". This is what John says to them when he gets home from work. So it is always fun when they come up with something new. Smile Smile

my resident talk-a-holic has started saying "GOOD MORNIN BOYS!!"
which is the greeting I use to wake them up in the morning Laughing
I love how they do use things in the correct context.
at the right times of day...
in the right situations.
it's fantastic!!!
Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
