If Mama leaves the room, he tries to find her if he can get to her or he "cries" until she's back. Willie still likes my Dad but his mommie is no 1 always. He only eats healthy foods, no sugar, fried foods or foods with alot of added seasonings. She bought him that wonderful cage but Willie stays on the top of it and on his perch all day. If she has to put him in the cage, he throws a fit! These are his fav spots to be when not on his cage or perch....

Hi,
I think this is wonderful, I am glad for you and your parents. But be careful, he is an Amazon, start training him now our they will regert this time lost later on. They go through stages just like kids, and you are going to be into the terrible twos soon, I use technics taught by Barabra at

I highly recommand you invest in one of her DVDs and maybe subscrib to her Mag. It is well worth it..

I loved hearing about little Willy's progress. Sounds like he has made himself at home there with your Mom and Dad. Keep us updated on his progress. I am wondering if he will go through the same stage our little Sarah Beth is. She is testing us with her beak somewhat.

Awwwww! Moms best friend That's so wonderful! I sure wish my mom would have a companion bird, I think she'd just love it too, if she would only give it a chance! |

The magazine and DVD have been ordered. We look forward to getting started on training!!
I just had to tell ya'll about this.. Once a week I go to my Mom's and we scrapbook together. I'm working on my 2nd book. I've finished my 27 yr old daughter's of her life till now and started my first born son's. My mom is scrapbooking Willie's life till now and will add to it as he grows. She keeps alot of things most would think are silly but I understand why. Yesterday was our day and while I was there, Willie chewed up his first chunk of wood. Guys, my mom kept those little splinters of wood for his book!! LOL How about that??!! When I looked at her funny she said "Hey, I love you even more than Willie so just think of how I was when you were a baby!!" I hugged my mom, told her I love her so very much and helped her pick the right paper to put his "splinters" on. The entire world is lucky to have my mom in it but nobody is as lucky as me!!! |

What a wonderful post. You have such a good relationship with your Mom. You both are very lucky. How cute saving the splinters of wood. I can only imagine what she saved of yours..... Thanks for posting.
