I had doctors' appointments, pre-op testing and errands to run today. Then some much needed shopping to do. I guess my babies aren't used to me being away for several hours. Today was my assigned day by socail security number to apply for unemployment.
I left at 930 AM and returned at 3 PM. I got Tiki out and then Buzz. I dialed the phone and Tiki made a sneak attack lunge & broke the skin right through my sleeve.
Unable to calm him, I had to get him to step up onto a spare manzanita perch & put him back into the cage. I also returned Buzz to his cage.
Tiki squawked all through the phone call.
Later I was able to pet him through the cage bars. I am looking for employment in the evening hours. This way I can spend the majority of daylight hours with my babies. I know a break in routine can be upsetting to amazons.
My favorite part of the day is the afternoon when I have one fid on each arm & play songs on the computer & we all sing off key.

Re: Moody Amazon
Yikes that Tiki! Amazons can deliver such painful bites!
Can you go out of the room when you're calling? In this way, you don't look irritated to Tiki. Most birdies love drama.

Romeo is getting a bit more moody also these days. Nothing eally yet but I notice little things that I haven't seen before. More struting on his cage and more hard headed I don't know if to blame it on growing pains or he is just excited that Sarah Beth is coming this weekend and he's getting a little nervous about seeing his girlfriend for the firt time in birdson
