my girlfriend and i have just got home with our new bird
he is a seven month old yellow-naped amazon called Joe
he's very cool
i will always remember the great times we had with totty and by getting a completely different species we are not replacing her
anyone got any special advice as regards amazons? |

Oh, congrats on the new bird Mar!!! I'm so happy for you that you've got a new fid to give all that love you have to... Totty will always live in your heart and memory. She'll be watching over you guys and Joe now!
I can't wait to see some pics of your new Zon. Good luck with her. Sorry though I can't help you with zon as I've never had one. |

joes settling in well
hes very different to my dear tot
thanks to all here for the kind comments when i lost her-I am now mostly able to just remember all the good times we had and to just take it that her time was up
joe is much more laid back-very inquisitve, checking everything out
hes overbalanced and fallen off a perch twice but seems totally unruffled-similarly hes take of and flapped round our lounge a couple times-nearly went headfirst down the back of one of the fish tanks just now! baut he lets me pick him up (grumbles a little) and then acts as tho nothing happened
