Romeo's been outside
In my chit chat I told of Romeo's adventure out to the flight cage for the first time this year. I was really worried about how it all would go but I worried for nothing. I will still watch them closley when they are all in the cage together but I think there is enough room for the 3 amazons to be able to have their own "space".
I know the sunshine is good for the birds and also the water when it rains. Well since it was a sunny day I thought the birds might like a shower so I turned the hose on and sprayed water over their heads. All 3 birds had a great shower Cleo and Ramsey didn't want to get in on it at first but then after they saw what fun Romeo was having they couldn't help but get in the shower too. I was so happy to see Ramsey have a bit of energy. He really seemed to liven up. His feathers are not in the best shape so I hope the showers will help.
All the plastic on the other avairy was taken down. I did leave the top panels up so that if it gets windy some days then I can let them down to block the wind off of the top area where my nest for the finches are. I can raise thes parts up in the mornings so pleanty of sun and air can get in. I've started wtering my plants in the avairy so everything should start looking alive now

Re: Romeo's been outside
Great to hear that they all had a great shower! It's remarkable how one can 'trigger' other birds to shower, isn't it?
Jealousy is also a great thing to teach birds new things.. I usually make my fids jealous, when they don't want to eat something.
Most of the time, they accept things more readily..
Also, when I take Zazu into the shower when I'm going to bath Nenya (My dog) he just has to show Nenya that showering is FUN!
(Nenya HATES being washed!)
