Tabu thanks for posting that link to the "Lexicon of Parrots", I'd never seen that website before and I had a wonderful time looking at all the wonderful photos of parrots that I never knew existed! |

I have worked with a few amazons in the past and well from the looks of the picture I agree I think he is a Orange Winged also.

OOPs did not see page two when I replied. Well late as usual. Congratulations. At least the picture is nice and pretty. I have been playing a little more with it. Hope you do not mind. I love playing with PSP. I Love adding little touches and decided to add a little something special to his picture.

i think he just has issues,
when i got him he was a monster i have had him bout 3/4 months now, hes out about 4 hours aday where as before i dont think he was ever out the cage when i got him he couldnt fly, and this is without clipped wings and when he figured out how to he just crashed in to the walls, but he wouldnt go back in his cage i think he thought thats it back in here till my next owner now!
but if hes out and im busy doing something and not paying his loads of attention and fussing his then he bite me 2 get it, so i just ignore that and now he has started shoutin mam unless, he is in a bad mood!!!!

Hi everyone,
Those of us that are Amazon Lovers need to know there is 'newsletter' that has very good info for identifying parrots and even scientific information. The link is below if I do it right.
amazonasociety.org
They have had some extensive articles on identifying Amazons so this would be good info for people in the future that might be confused on what kind of Amazon they have.
I think Amazons are the BOMB! I love my Senegal and Tiels too, (as well as my 3 cats and a dog) .. but by far overall personalities of the Zons are my fav They are just too much fun!
Anyway, here's my intro, be well and treat your fids great
