I was wondering what you'd find most handy to post messages in the forum.
Like it is now (BB code), or a very simple version of the wysiwyg-editor. The wysiwyg-editor is being used to make diarypages and homepages.

Cathy & Cheeky.. Don't you understand the question? If not, I shall try to explain it again..
The way you use now to enter messages is done with BBcode.
The other one I'm talking about is an editor where you can change the color of the text and you actually SEE the color of the text changing before you post things. Or you SEE the size of the letters in before you post messages.. |

I do know what you mean, but I think I'm going to defer to everyone else.
I mean, really, either way is good with me.
I guess I just don't really have a preference. |

I just looked it up in the dictionary & it really wasn't exactly the word I should have used after all
I meant I will go along with whatever everyone else likes, becuz I will be happy with either way. |

Sue,
The Editor is fine, I believe the BBCode editor works quicker for the form pages. If you give the froum post to much to do it might slow down the system compling the form pages...
Always remember the programmers montra (sp) "K.I.S.S." Keep it simple stupid.... This is a quote from an old programmers book, I did not make it up....
The only thing I would like to see is the ablity to edit your post on the forum. I know I have seen this requested before, so I assume that this is not an easy task....

Hmmm that's a good point you have there John. I just thought it would give the site more unity. (Using the same for the homepages, diaries and posts)
You're so right about the KISS..
About the editing: I want to make a tool to allow to make changes in let's say 15 minutes. This because just an editing tool might be abused. |

A timer? interesting.... suggestion, I don't know your code base. But I would consider truning off the editor when they leave the current forum... Just a suggestion
