*PLEASE READ* Movie upload  Reply with quote

From now on, you can also upload other files than .wmv movies.
You can also upload .mov .avi .3gp .mp4 .mpeg .mpg .3g2 movies!
This means you no longer have to convert your moviefiles into .wmv files before you upload them onto Fluffies.
Also, the maximum file size for movies is now 8 MB instead of 5 MB.

Please compare the different file sizes using the different formats. In general I have found that a 12 MB movie in an AVI format will be less then 5 mb when converted to a wmv format. So if you have a large movie, try changing the format and see the difference..

You're right John. AVI files are quite large, aren't they?
Would you like me to raise the limit? I'm quite careful. I'd like to see how things go first. Very Happy

I think the limit is fine, I just wanted to tell everybody that they can get more movie with an WMV format...You get much larger and people will not be as careful with what they put on your server...

Thanks! I am glad you find it useful! Very Happy

Something else has changed about the movies: You won't get a link for the movie but a 'photo' of the movie. If you have several movies on a page, you can click on either of them, and the one that was playing, will stop. Very Happy
