| Two new forums: Homepages & diaries |
|
|
The replies (formerly known as comments) on homepages and diaries have been moved to the forum. ( For homepages: http://www.fluffies.org/en/hom.....-vf50.html and for diaries: http://www.fluffies.org/en/dia.....-vf51.html )
As a result, the newest replies (comments) will appear, just like with normal forum messages, at the bottom instead of at the top of a page. (Like it used to be)
If a page is edited or new, it will move up in the list of threads, and this thread will also appear in your topic watchlist ( http://www.fluffies.org/en/flu.....chlist.php )
Also, the rating system is changed. Now you can rate a homepage or diary much more easy. With a mouse-over you can easily rate a page by clicking the desired amount of walnuts.
Replies (comments) are automatically generated per diary or homepage.
Replies (comments) can be viewed on the oldfashioned way.
I hope these changes will make it easier to respond & see if a page is updated, new or a comment has been made.. |

Do you find it more handy than the way it used to be? |

Hi sue, I'm kind of embarrassed to even ask this, as I know how much work and thought you put into the forum but is there a way to have the homepage and diary comments in a seperate section from the forum topics when it comes to "my topic watch list"? I think it's nice to have forum threads for them as you made, but to have all the comments show up on the watch list is a little time consuming, because I personally don't read other people's homepage/diary comments, so to have them all show up on my watchlist kinda clutters my list and makes it difficult for me to find the new forum topics. I like the 'what's new or updated" feature where you can choose to go and read other people's comments if you wish, but this way I'm forced to search through those to find the forum topics. It's not a huge deal if nothing can be done about it just thought I'd throw it out there in case this set-up was just something you were trying out. |

Another thing I just thought of, maybe if you can't seperate them, then we can have the option of deleting them off of our watchlist by like selecting a box next to them or something, because now it's either you have to read the topic in order to erase it, or you just erase all the topics. |

Funny you should say this Shirin, thanks for your input! You have exactly the same ideas as one of the Dutch mods.
I am thinking of giving the comments another color, let's say brownish.
I'm also thinking of adding boxes that you were talking about. (She also mentioned that option)
It will take some time though. Probably some months..
PS I don't mind constructing comments.. |

Shirin, you took the words right out of my mouth, except I just couldn't be bothered mentioning it... as it is, i guess I don't mind it so much, but it would be nice if we could delete and unclutter the watch list. |

I agree... The reason is, that I think a lot of those homepage and diary users (at least on the English forum) are members who are no longer with us or active anymore.

No rush Sue... we really appreciate all you do for this site. I have to say, Fluffies is still the best forum website I've ever come across! Really... it's has a lot of great features, and is very easy to use. It is just different than the rest of them... keep up the great job!
p.s... a P.M. button would be awesome!!

Hi Julie.. The PM is still on the list.. It used to work but after an update it didn't. I messed up something.
Then there was this huge argument on the Dutch forum which stressed me quite a bit and people were complaining just to get the PM back online.
So I stopped working on it, because I was soooo fed up with all those complaining people.. |
