They truly are gorgeous birds, aren't they?!
I'm not at all familiar with them, but just ran across a picture of one the other day & was struck by its beauty! |

to me...the kind of look like what I'd call
"a budgie version (because of the black markings) of a Scarlet Macaw (because of the rest of the coloring)"
they sure are gorgeous. |

Yeah they're gorgeous! They have such vivid colors don't they?
Lynzi.. I would first solve the problems with Sonnie.. He needs all your energy now not to go out of control. Then think of another needy (very needy!) bird like a macaw.
I hope I'm not a nuisance. |

Thanks for taking it the right way.
You know, the waiting will pay off.. You can ALWAYS get another birdy.
But please make sure that Sonnie is ok first. |

I said this on another post....
I told my mom that if Sonnie isn't better.....I don't want another bird......
but I'm pretty confident that it will get worse before it gets better...and he's starting to act like my little Sonnie again.....he still won't let me hold him...but he's letting me give him back scratches......I I think after 10 wks of doing what I've been doing....he'll be back to snuggling with me...... |

Before i got poppet i looked at rosella's but they arn't the friendliest birds and they need VERY large cages and ideally an aivary

yeah I think Gemma's right.. As gorgeous as they are, I haven't really heard much about them being good pets. |

They are pretty. I've seen them at the bird store we frequent. The owners have a couple in their flock..

yeah...it says on the outside of the cage where he's at that he's a "flying bird" and would need to be in an aviary or large cage......... |
