| Grass parakeets |

I'm trying to research different species of bird before I finally get one! I'm considering, among other things, a pair of scarlet chested parakeets (splendid parakeets). The cage is really quite large (36"x24"x69") with 1" bar spacing. The reasons I'm attracted to them is ; they are both absolutely stunning little jewels, their song is supposed to be quite pleasant, they seem relatively easy to keep. Any suggestions on suitability? reccomendations etc are much appreciated. |

could I keep a pair of rosellas in this manner? I know the males can be 'quarelsome', but would a pair be okay? |

hi,
I am not sure the neophemas would be good for the cage that you have. They are small, very small for parrots. may be about the size of an average tiel... so not good for 1nch bar spaces
Crimson rosellas should be ok in them. They are loud though.. LOL |

umm don't know about them. First time I've heard of them!! LOL.. sorry can't help you with that one.
the cage you have would be marginal, a bigger one would be ideal for two birds... |
