Just wondering if anyone out there knows anything about Princess Parrots. Recently we rescued one and whilst we own a cockatiel we know very little about Princess Parrots. Any information would be helpful. She is very shy and scared of hands although she will feed out of our hands at times. She is definately used to human contact. Will she get on OK with our cockatiel? Thanks for your help. |

I don't know anything about Princess parrots Chelsea, sorry ...
But your Princess is so beautiful! She looks really good & very healthy! Tho I'm glad you're taking her in to have the thing on her nose checked out.
It really looks & sounds like you're doing a great job with her & like I've said before, she's lucky she landed in such a good home |

Hi Chelsea, I just saw your Princess parrot on your homepage What a beauty! I think it's very possible that your cockatiel and the Princess parrot could become friends, I'm not sure if you have have her quarintined or not, but that's the only thing I would worry about with regards to her interacting with your cockatiel. Make sure she is health checked at the vet before you allow them to interact with eachother. Other than that, I don't see why the 2 birds shouldn't get along. Keep in mind that they might not take to eachother right away, but eventually I'm sure at the very least they'll tolerate eachother. |

I think Princess will do just fine with your beautiful Cheeky. You've got two very pretty birds for sure!! Glad you've found Princess and she's found you.
Good luck with your visit to the vet. |

I don't know about Princess parrots but I do know that I find them beautiful! At least, the photos you showed on your homepage. I can't believe those soft colors, what a beautiful bird Princess is!
If you'd like to introduce two birds to each other, please do so in a neutral environment. On a flat surface. |

Thanks everyone for your replies. Yes KSue, I definately love the sound she makes. It's really quite pretty but not piercing like my cockatiel's scream. I love to hear her call out. It makes me feel better as I think she must be feeling a lot better too. She made absolutely no sound for the first week. I know this is like really bragging people but I have been working on my homepage. If you're interested take a look. I have put some photos of Princess on there of what she looked like when we first found her and what she looks like now. It's an amazing change! Also, I put a link to a video of Cheeky. Take a look, it's really cute. Well of course
I'd
say that wouldn't I!!!! |
