Well my Senegal Parrot Simone just laid an egg yesterday... I didn't think she was going to lay anymore because of her age (about 20 to 25 years old) and the last cluch she didn't sit on.. But I have done like someone suggested and have kept them quite and covered up where they can see me coming into the room.. They have a good view of outside so they have good light. So far things seem OK... I will keep you all posted... Wink

LOL. Sharon, it is indeed a funny way to find out that your man was a girl for all this time!! Very Happy

Don't worry the egg won't hatch as it isn't fertile as it doesn't have a mate to mate with. I am not 100% sure with Sennie, but my guess is that you'd leave the egg in there and see if she's interested, generally they aren't. If she isn't then just take the egg away. Oh one more thing, make sure she's getting proteins and lots and lots of calcium to supplement for the egg creation. Good luck
