Well my kakarikis have had a nest box for a fortnight (they were trying to nest on the top of my fridge) and i already have 2 eggs.....i have not checked the box again yet because i dont want to scare them......so finders cross something will hatch or nach as my daughter says.....will post pics when i get a chance to take them.....very excited though |

oh, that's soooo exciting!! Congrats on your eggs for your kaks. I sure hope these guys will give you some babies.. I do love the sounds they make. Wonderful birds they are. My fingers are crossed for you. |

Sue my daughter is only four and is still getting new works confused....she is going around telling everyone "that pink is going to nach some babys" she cant say hatch thats all............I am exciting but trying not to be because they may not work out first time and all |

here is a very quick picture of the eggs.....I managed to sneak it while pink was out for a quick fly......as you can see there are 6 now  I am hoping she will stop laying soon but apparently they can lay up to 10 or 12  ........

she has been sitting pretty tight for the last 2 days but is going to lay another one tonight I can see the bulge.....wont know for a week or so if they are firtile or not |

Yeah they are possibly not furtile....but she hasnt started sitting properly yet....LOL...I have to tell you guys this whole thing is very very stressful |
