My Bello is a male and Im not sure what Casper is I just know he is albino. Is there any way to tell the sex of as albino besides DNA? Dana Wink

Actually I'm just wondering, why is it that you can't just mix and match the indian ringnecks when it comes to breeding them... Meaning like just put them with different colours and see what comes out like the little budgies.. Smile

Will it cause deformities? or is it just because the birds just 'prefer' a certain colour choice??? Just wondering. Smile

You can do whatever you want as far as colour combinations. But Ringnecks aren't like Budgies, although, there are MANY different ringneck mutations, the different colours are harder to breed than budgies.

DNA or Surgical Sexing is the only way to find out. Unless you see Casper trying to mate with a Hen or feeding a Hen or displaying to a Hen but even those aren't an accurate sure fire way to know the sex of your bird

So far Bello and Casper give me the impression that they both are males. I don't have to breed them, and since they were raised together I don't want to have to seprated them if I don't have to. I enjoy them so much so it doesn't matter if I ever breed them. I'll love them for just them Laughing Dana Wink
