| Budgie "Boo" is SO attached to me...Help! |
|
|
Hey! I haven't posted here in awhile, but I do have a question now. I've had my budgie "Boo" for 3 years now, she's a wonderful little bird, but she has gotten SO very attached to me. I spend as much time with her as I can, but every time I leave to go upstairs (she's in the family room just down the stairs) she chirps non-stop! It gets to the point where I have to cover her up with a towel, or stick her in the bathroom to block out the chirping.
I was just wondering, maybe what I could do to keep her busy while I'm either not there...or when I am there but just not visiting with her at the moment...because I can't stand there infront of the cage forever!! I used to have a female lovebird years ago, and we always bought her little nests, and she would pick it apart and stuff the branches in her feathers, it would keep her busy ALL day!!! Just wondering maybe if my budgie would do the same thing? |

what if you give your budgie a little friend. like that it has company and will be ok.
buying a nest is not ok. it might make it feel broody and more frustrated as it doesn't have a partner.
giving it a nice friend might be better. |
