| Budgie not interested in toys? |
|
|
Everytime I watch my little Boo, she doesn't seem the least bit interested in her toys...she just likes to eat. Maybe she plays with them while I'm not there?? I have in there a rope with beads and a bell on it..then one of those 4 hanging ball things, and sometimes I'll switch it with this other type of roped swing. Maybe she wants something to shred? Like one of those pinatas. What types of toys do you guys have for your budgies?? And also, I'm thinking her nails are getting too long, should I have them trimmed? I have one of those perches in her cage that is rough, but I don't think that's doing the trick. And how often should I be getting her wings clipped? Lol, sorry for all the questions, but I think it's time for a little maintenence. Also, I'm thinking Boo is a girl...for everyone who remembers us trying to figure that out awhile ago, hehe. |

Hi Boo
Did I say she was a girl or boy last time? I don't remember. hehe
anyway, with toys. Well I find that my budgies absolutely LOVE to shred!! yes give her some paper to shred, and I've also found a favourite toy amongst my budgies, and that is the olympic hoops (4 hoops linked together). They love it!!! I find that my budgies aren't really into toys all that much, but mind you they are all in a big aviary so they just hang out with their mates/friends. |

Yeah i bought her a new toy the other day and she loves it sooo much! It's a red ball with big eyes and has little pieces of rope coming out the bottom. I think she thinks its a new friend. lol |

Perhaps she likes red?
I know whenever I introduce a new toy to Speckles, I play with it a little bit myself just to get him curious
It's like showing him that this new thing I put in his cage is a toy to play with! Thats my reasoning anyway hehe, its silly I know, but I still do it! |
