| Help!! New budgie has a swollen eye :( |

I just got my new bird a couple days ago and already there's something wrong. I got up this morning and it's eye was all swollen and shut closed. The feathers around it are also starting to dissapear. I really don;t know what's wrong with it, if someone could please tell me what to do! |

A trip to the vet would be foremost in my mind! I believe there is a sticky in the disease prevention tips about basic stuff too.. but I am no expert and I can't offer anymore help  Please take her to an avian vet and get her eye checked out! |

Thanks everyone. My little one's eye is getting better now. I woke up on saturday and it was closed shut and swollen. It can open it's eye now and it's feathers around it are coming back. The only thing left is for the redness to go away. I was so worried. But everything is ok now  |

What did you do for it? bath it? How do you think it happened?

Well i didn't do anything, I just waited for it to get better, because as each day passed it was looking better. Boo's eye is perfectly normal now  I know it came that way when i bought it though...because I don't know how it would have happened. But that doesn't matter, now that everything is good. |
