| Hopefully 2 new budgies coming home!! |
|
|
YAY!!
Someone at school might get rid of their budgies!! More likely yes than no.
They were going to give them to my other friend, the one who had Blueberry, and the 4 other birds, but she's getting 2 baby budgies as I post this, so she's agreed to give me "Roxy" and "Ice" (Ice is albino, not sure about Roxy) and maybe one of her many cages!! YAY!
I'll quarintine for 30 days. Maybe in the living room.
Yipee!!
I really need some good excuses! I haven't told my mom, but hinted.."If I could have 2 free budgies, with cage, and me paying for everything, would you let me?" she said no, but I need some excuses!! please!

Haley why is your friend getting more birds, if she couldn't afford to support that last one? What happens if one of them should get sick?
Also didn't you say that you're not allowed to have any more cages in your house because of space? |

Oh I see, so if you really had to you could put in an extra cage? Just as a precautionary in case all the budgies together in one cage might not work out. Just make sure since your mom most likely won't be helping you, that you have an emergency fund saved and put aside incase any of your birds should ever require emergency medical attention |

I was never going to put them in one cage anyway, with Fig and Aloha.
I'm getting insurance on my birds, so if an emergency happens *knock on wood* there will be money for it. |

Haley, sorry ... but I really think your mom does know best.
It saddens me terribly to hear that your friend is getting new birds
But honestly, it doesn't come as a surprise. Seems it's cheaper to replace the life of one, than try to save it
I'm sorry, but it makes me very upset. |

I don't know about your friend Haley.. I'm worried that she can't take the budgies to the vet if it should be necessary. I mean, vet bills can always end up too high for our budgets, but I think there SHOULD always be money for at least a small vet visit.
I also worry about the disease the deceased budgie had.. And it being contagious for new birds?? |

Haley, I know you & your mom will work things out between the 2 of you.
I could think of a million reasons for some one to aquire a bird, but I'm sure your mom has her own reasons for not wanting you to have another one. Far be it from me to try to contradict her. |

Oh? What insurance are you talking about? I saw a brochure for dog and cat insurance at my vets but never for birds. Can you tell me the one you're going to get, because I'd like to get it for my birds too. |
