I'm Scared  Reply with quote

I saw a nick on Aloha's beak..I'm worried fig did it..and I saw Aloha push fig off her perch which made her quite mad Sad I'm scared...

Is there anything that I can do? My parents won't let me put them in separate cages Crying or Very sad

the good news is Aloha also is getting more snuggley and will go in my sweater and my dad's gloves Very Happy and he loves small dark spaces to cuddle into. Thats why he runs under things.

All right worried mom, Laughing Laughing Step back and evaluat things like you would if somebody else posted this. Aloha is the new bird on the block, they have to figure out who is boss, this will go on, and they will continue to have little spats, it is their nature. The nick is more then likely caused by the bars of the cage,

but this is just a guess on my part, you are real good with birds, just relaxe and the answer will come to you, I would trust my bird to your care, because I know the level of intelgence you have and the knowlege you have.....

I don't know Haley, I'm not that familiar with Budgies. My lovebirds do fight sometimes too, they used to do it more before when they were in a smaller cage. I was actually affraid they were going to kill eachother, so I got them a much bigger cage, and they don't really fight all that much anymore. Just keep a close eye on them, make sure there's no bloody fights.

May I ask why your parents won't let you put them in seperate cages? Is it because they don't want you to buy a new cage or they don't want the extra space being taken up? Cuz I'm looking to buy a new cage, if you want you can have my old one as a temporary solution. The bar spacing might be too big though Confused

anyway, do keep a close eye on them, hopefully they'll eventually learn to love one another.

We used to have two budgies. One was a little yellow one called Sunshine. We had Sunshine and snowball in the same cage together. They would preen each other and feed each other just fine but Sunshine also pulled Snowballs tail then started pulling his wing feathers. We eventually seperated them. What is funny though is Snowball is in a big flight cage with the cockatiels and he rules the roost. Go figure Wink I hope they settle down for you Haley and sorry I'm not more help.

oh ok. I'll try to get a pic of it. The cage is fairly large. It's a cockatiel cage but with budgie bar spacing (I'ld never put a tiel in it). It's a pagota style "Preview Hendrex" cage. Blue and white. They won't let me get another cage because of the space. We're going to put an adition on the house with maybe a bird room. I also made a blog for Aloha. www.aloha2006.bravejournal.com is the address. He doeasn't seem in pain at all.

Figaro's blog is cute. I tried to post there but couldn't. You may be bored but you use your time constructively which is great and you have a wonderful imagination. I'm glad to hear they are getting on a bit better.
