Kesha was playing with my lovebird Flit as usual but something went wrong and they began fightinf each other. I was in school at that time. It was very bloody combat between my little birds. Flit didn't get harmed, but Kesha lost 2/3 of his beak! Sad When I came home, I saw all the cage in blood spots. I was shocked.
In Lithuania there is no useful vet that can give advice in birds. Crying or Very sad
I had some vet knowledges, so I quicky realized what to do.
Now, I feed Kesha with some porridge by syringe. Kesha feels much better, he is happy. He can't eat by his own. The beak will grow up in 1-2 months.

Oh Wow that is so sad!!

I hope that he makes it - should do with your loving care - have you thought about using organic baby food and syringe that?? Just an Idea..

I'm using baby food, porridges and some other food to feed my budgie. He is ok right now. But he can't even clean hi feathers Crying or Very sad ... what a pity... Rolling Eyes

Awwwww....I am soo sorry to hear what happened Kesha!!! Sad Thank goodness it was the beak and nothing worse. Do they share a cage? His beak will grow back and be as good as new with your care Smile

No, but they live in the same room, so they often fly together and play with each other. Now, I won't let this happen again... Sad

Wow, I am surprised the lovebird's beak could do that much Sad Good luck and give Kesha a little head rub from me.

Oh Kitie,
I'm so very sorry to hear about Kesha! Sad that is so aweful! I'm thinking of you. Just know that Kesha had a great life with you and he was loved and well cared for!!! my thoughts are wth you.... {{{{{HUGS}}}}}
