We are pretty happy with our lad, the wee Laker.
He is such a gentle soul & now that he can finally enjoy his buddy Rio - life is one fly by & food fest.
I highly recommend getting a rescue bird.

Laker is the Yellow face, Cobalt blue, Clearflight. - unknown age but wonderful.
Warning: If you get more than 1 bird - rescued or store bought - you really need to do a 90 day quarantine. I am going to post a thread on megabacteria soon. Basically it can hide or lay dormant but stress will bring it out & it is very common among Budgies. It is basically a fungal infection & it kills them in 12 to 24 hours. I know someone who is a big bird rescuer & just lost 1/2 her birds. Luckily she took the 1st one to the Vet & the next 4 as well. She lost them all. The remaining birds are all on meds.
There are things you can do to prevent this [like good hygiene & housing] or to help your birds & I'll post those too in the thread.
