Rolling Eyes

Well today we had a wedding for Aloha and figaro. It (the wedding) went well...but...

My younger cousin put aloha on a plastic mattress, and I think it scraped his legs. Anyhoo, he has big red scrapes on his legs Mad ! arghh! I washed them with warm water and soap. Then later that day, FIG decides to fly right up into my face! Rolling Eyes I grab her body, (not her tail) and WHAM! she loses 3 tail feathers on me!!!!!! Shocked Shocked Mad Evil or Very Mad Sad arghhhhhh shes moulting so I think she'll grow them back. after the wedding, I saw Fig pecking aloha's tail!!! ugh! now I know why his tail is so scruffy! Mad

Budgies! you can't live with em but they're too cute to stir-fry!

Scrapped legs may mean he was held by something - maybe a beak or your cousin was rough with him??? Does he have a leg condition maybe?

How are they now?

By the By - another Aussie told me that gay marriage is legal in Aussie-land & you can get an immigration paper even if you're a gay couple. Very progressive are the Aussies. Smile

his legs are clearing up..bathing them in warm soapy water (making sure no soap gets in the feathers and rising them) and putting on some Aloe from an aloe plant worked well.

I don't know my cousin always wanted to hold Aloha put I kept telling him to be gentle and supervising him, Nobody bit him from what I can remember..I don't think its a leg condition..he's fine and can walk and he never seems to be in pain.. Confused

I'm glad to hear he's getting better. Smile Just a good idea to go over any concerns so you know what it was.

How has he been since the injury? Is he scared or more friendly because of all the attention from you?

His little legs have healed! Very Happy Bathing them in warm soapy water and using aloe from the aloe plant worked. He's fine now.

He seems the same towards me. Though he's stepping up now. But when he gets tired of stepping up he'll flutter off Laughing (he's clipped)

Figaro is a bully! Evil or Very Mad to Cheekie and Petrie!! She keeps biting Cheekie but he's a good boy and just yells at her Laughing I always need to supervise them though.
