As I just got a gorgeous little yellow male canary (named "Monet") I wondered if anyone else on this forum has canaries? I don't remember having seen anything posted about them before.

Laughing Oh yeah right "Dana has canaries" Laughing but they won't mate Crying or Very sad My female lays so many eggs every time I turn around but they don't hatch because these do don't do any "hanky panky" Laughing My husband keeps saying get a new male, but Im not gonna do that. I have always said ' If they breed they breed, if they don't they don't" but me and Romeo want to see a "baby". I take Romeo over to their cage everyday and say " Hello bird, do you have a baby"? and Romeo throws them a kiss.

I"ve taken the eggs for several months away from her after a month and I have them in a little nest in my china cabinet. I also made a little nest and took some eggs over to the nursing home for some of the residents to be able to look at. They loved that, one lady wanted to keep it so I gave it to her.
