Lordy I started out with 2 pairs of zebras and you should see them now. I also added a couple pairs of society and cimminon finches, then of course the gouldians all live in there also. I must have 60 birds if not more out there everytime you turn around they are breeding (except of course the gouldians which are the ones I want to breed.)
Some of my zebras made it over to my Indian Ringnecks side out in the avairy one time and before I knew it they were making nest. So I said well I'll just see what happends. So after a bit the ringnecks found the nest and tore them up. When I did manage to have a few babies born on that side the ringnecks would bite the toes off the babies and some died. When I saw what was happening I went back around the dividing panel of the avairy and filled in all the places that the finches were going through to stop them from going over there.
You can put all kinds of things in there for them to nest in. Ive used flower pots, gourds, and even old shoes. They are so cute when they are making the nest. I love to hear them fussing at each other .
