You can try Behindthename.com for names... they're good. I think the name Luna (as earlier suggested in a different post) would be nice. Maybe pick several names and then name the bird once you've gotten her/him. Snoop was going to be callled Legacy (which you might like for your bird?) but she turned out to be a real Snoop! Another website that I really love for names is http://www.babynamesgarden.com

They have a list of floral baby names, like Jasmine, Daisy, and so on that I think make good names for birds. I also like Behind The Name like someone else said earlier.

Is it a girl? When I was getting a cockatiel I was going to get a girl and my best friend suggest Petunia for a girl Lutino...I thought it was a good name. I'm really fond of the Spanish names for cockatiels...like "Lupita" or something. But that's just me I think...

We like the "Buffy the vampire" and "Angel" tv series so a lot of our birds aquired names from that. Our cockatiels are named Spike, Angel, Darla and Bale.

I find it's sometimes easier to pick the name after you have the bird. So I don't have any helpful suggestions but I AM excited that you're getting your new baby for Christmas!!

Back on track Rolling Eyes ... I got Bellamy's name from WWW.babynames.com.au .

On another rabbit trail: on that site it talks about it being a great place for bumps. I'm not Australian and I'm dying to know what that means. Any Aussie out there that can answer my 2-year-old question???!!! Question

uhm....I think it was about the 14th one. I read them all this past summer when I got him, so I really don't remember which one in particular it was Laughing
