hi all i was just looking thru the site and saw that heaps of you let your birds outside, I would love to let rocky have a play in the garden but i am terrified he will fly off and that will be the end of him how can i work that 1 out any tips?

Hi Rocky. Most of us have clipped the wings of our birds. This doesn't hurt.
Clipping is a personal choice.

It is a matter of choice, so I will give you the other side of the story. A clipped bird can and will still fly. A gus of wind and your bird gets spoked. Then he is gone. Look into this subject more before you take this step, it is no simple thing of just clipping wings and walking outside with your bird. Around here there are hawks that have taken 3 birds that I know of with people around. Just be careful and make sure you know what you are doing before you do this.
