| Single cockatiel egg laying |
|
|
I have a 6 month old female cockatiel, so I was wondering when the earliest she might start laying unfertalized eggs is, so that I can be prepared if she does lay any. I can't find any websites with this on so can anyone give me an idea of the youngest they do? |

6 months old is fairly young still. and not all single bird will lay eggs on their own. Some will, but not all.
I am not 100% sure on when they sexually mature, but to take a jab, I'd say they mature around 1yr to 1 1/2 yr of age, and if she was to start laying eggs, she'd be doing it when she's sexually matured. good luck. |

Somebody else told me that is could be at about 5 months so I'm not really sure which is right...
this is the first bird I've had so I'm just tryin to learn as much about her and what she might do as I can |
