The RB2 (Cockyboy - yeah I know very original.. hehe), will spend most of it's time outside in an aviary that isn't all that big until I get a bigger aviary set up for him. Basically he isn't all that tame, but tame enough for my dad, and I think that he'll be better off living with me so I can spend more time with him getting him tamed down, especially now that I've moved to a house with a bigger back yard. Anyway, He'll move over soon enough, and he's overweight too, so I have to get him trimmed down. hehe.. my little fatty.
YEs I will have four tooz then, and I think that'll be absolute max for me.. hehe... no more big birds for me. |

That will be your new project... taming the RB! I don't have much patience for that sort of thing Good luck, I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with your nice Australian Too collection I think that would be still much easier than an Indonesian "velcro" Too collection |

hehe, yeah it'll be interesting trying tame the little boy down. He is semi-semi tame... If he's hormonal he is actually nice to people!! he's a weird one for sure... when he's 'normal' and non hormonal, he'll bite ya. it's odd.. Anyway, I should have the boy in a couple of week... but that'll depend on the aviary situation of course.
I think my little collections of tooz will be fun. all have very distinct calls.. hehe.. loving it.. I wonder what my new neighbours think of all the 'new' birdie noises that's invading the neighbourhood!! LOL |

Do you have close neighbors? I guess it wouldn't be a problem unless they were making noise non-stop.
I finally found a place to move!! I need to get approved now. Looks like a pretty secluded unit, up and down stairs like a townhome. It's really unique. The birds should like it! |

well I don't know how close is considered close, but I have a nice sized yard, but I'm just worried that when all the cockatoos starts their evening/morning calls, it may get a bit noisy!!! LOL
Congrats on the unit. I hope everything goes smoothly for ya. |

thanks. I hope so too... well most the time they'll be indoor I guess. but I plan on building them all a big aviary out the back, and let them go out for a fly around in the open air aviary... here's hoping anyway. |

Okay, then you can still add to your Budgie collection Do you even know all of them by name?! Do they all have names? I'd get confused if I had over 20 budgies... I'd look at one and say "who are you, I don't even remember getting you" |

yep, I remember all their names..
Lemon, Lime, Olive, Scruffy, Goofy, Bluey, Cheeky, Grace, Fruitloop, Passion, Daffy, Milo, Sunny, Mr Attitude, Miss Bossy, Spirit, Quake, Bai Xing, Yue Liang, Salsa, Blondie, Chase, Kiwi, Hope, and last but not least even though he's not with us anymore... Tango(RIP)...
the only addition I'd make to them now would be my own babies (breeding) |

That's a lot of little individuals to remember I guess if you don't get them all at the same time, it's not too hard to know each one Are some outdoors in an aviary, and some in the house? |

4 of them were indoor, three were semi tamed out of the four, but i've decided to 'release' them into a bigger area to fly around. I should have my bigger aviary this weekend for the budgies. 3m x 2m x 2m.. |

Bih, since we were originally talking about Corella vs Eclectus voice, I wanted to tell you my recent findings
I thought it was interesting that since Starion has been living in the same room of the house as Gryfifn now in her new larger cage, she has become way more vocal. Gryffin has stopped (in the past few months) screaming loud at night, and now it is very rare that she makes her loudest noise...she prefers to talk and mumble. Maybe that's why they say Eclectus are quiet... they are when nothing is bothering them. I guess when she used to scream at night it must have been something that I can't pinpoint.
Anyway, now that I've definitely heard Starion's loudest, I'd have to say it is about the same volume as Gryffin the Eclectus's absolute loudest. Different sounding noise though. The difference between the Corella and the Eclectus is that the Eclectus only screams loud rarely and for a good reason, but the Corella is much more vocal, and has some loud outbursts just for fun while playing. Thank goodness it is not nearly as loud as a U2, M2, or SC2!!
