| Hello, It's been awhile! |
|

Hello to all, It's been awhile since I've visited and wnated to see what's new. We've had a very rough month around here. My partner's 15 yr old neice hung her self 2 weeks ago and really had us all so upset. Anyone with kids, please never stop really talking to them. We had no idea she was thinking like that. It was a total shock. This family will never be the same
Due to that happening, we were out of town for a week and came home to our fridg and computer down. Then, last Thursday our McCaw Angel got out. She was out for 4 days and 2 of those nights we had horrible rain and wind. I chased her over a 3 block area from dawn to dusk but she was too scared to fly down. She flew from TALL tree to TALLER tree until she flew to a lower limb on a small tree.God was watching over her because on Sunday afternoon, Angel stepped up on my partner's arm to come home. She was so weak! We all cried while watching her step to her Mommie's arm. After a very fast trip to our vet, she is eating all she is given and getting back to her wonderful self. Her wings are clipped but can still soar. Our vet says to never take them outside unless harnessed or in a crate. You can be sure we never will. |

Oh I'm so very sorry to hear what a rough time you've been having! I'm sorry about your loss in the family. It is hard to comprehend why things like that happens. {{{Hugs}}} to you all.
I'm glad to hear that Angel is back home safe and sound again. Glad that nothing bad happened to her over the nights that she was out. God did watch over her for you guys.
How's the rest of the flock going?!? Take care of yourself. Cheers |

Thank you for the kind words. I try to see time heals all wounds but it's easy for me to say since I didn't know her all that well. I'm just praying the other kids get some counsiling since they found her and cut her down but the Mom refuses to see the need. Maybe with time.
All the kids are fine except for feeling neglected some. For those 4 days, we were up at dawn, feed them then out the door till dark. We did take turns coming home to check in on them but they just didn't understand. We have tried to make up for the time loss and things are beginning to get back to normal for all. LOL Angel is jabbering like crazy when she's not eating. She still doesn't give me kisses but I'm not giving up. I'm the reason she got away so she should be a little ticked at me. It took time to get that first kiss so I am use to "time". She's here and healthy. That's all that matters. Thanks for letting me vent and for your kind thoughts! |

They better do something and quick.
My own family just went through something just as horrible 2 years ago on Thanksgiving day.
My Nephew disobeyed his grandfather and took off on a quadbike and was killed in not less than 5 minutes on it.
It has completely torn my brother in law's family apart at the seems. THey neglected the other kids to the point that one is on drugs and pregnant about to marry an abusive loser and the other wants to move in with us.
My brother in law's wife is extorting thousands of dollars from her father in law feeding off his guilt over the accident. They have all but bankrupted him. |
