dayna, I think you'll find that with time, you'll get to know Dorys pooping habits & be able to keep the messes somewhat under control. You'll get to know her body language & what she does to "prepare" to poop. Like Manu always does a little positioning thing, backing up over the edge of whatever he's on. Maybe you could just always have something with you that you can quickly place under him. Or quickly place him on a perch that has something on the floor to catch the poop. Also learn how long the intervals between each poop, so you'll know when to watch for the signs.
Messes can be somewhat minimized in that way.
