Hi There, Does anybody know any secrets in stopping this bad habit?I have tried tons of things to curb this bad habit but to no avail. Has anyone else had this type of problem? What did you do? With harrisons at a premium, I need to stop this now!lol Sun Dance(mm) taught my hubby's grey and now the baby is doing it! My hubby's grey will do this now after his shower to get even and then just glares at me...grrrrrLOL I'd welcome any suggestions, Thanks Pam |

Hi there Pam!
Try not to give your parrots too much of one food. Also, try to chop things into very small pieces.
I don't want to advocate 'starving' your poor babies, but just try to give them small amounts of everything..
With Harrison, you can try to 'mash' it.. (And give only the amount they can eat that day/ part of the day)
(I do the same!)
Please DON'T give attention to them as they do this! This will only reinforce this behavior, even if you get 'angry'..
According to my avian vet this waste of food is just 'manipulating'.. Well, I guess I can be manipulated VERY WELL! |
