Yep! She's just trying to get it right that's all Practice makes perfect! Chaquita will make sounds that sort of sounds like a word and I'll work with that too. It may sound like a mumble at first but it will get more clear |

Congrats. My cockatoo was about 7~8 months when he first spoke. His first word was unfortunatley in doggie language though. lol. But soon after he started talking. He says Hi Luna and I love You along with many combinations of the above. Sometimes he is very clear and others not so clear but it is much better than screaming. lol. He is now almost 4. I can't believe that he is almost four. |

Cheeta, I enjoyed those videos so much! Lucy is saying some things but we are still listening..LOL She sounds sooo much like Apollo but just alittle different. I guess I was so tickled because I've never heard another Lucy talk. Now I know she's doing what others do!! We have a Macaw and have heard others like her talk thru out our lives. Hearing your baby was a real treat!! Thank you!! |

Dayna,
congrats on Dory's first words. She'll be talking up a storm in no time... Just keep encouraging her by keep talking to her in clear voice.
Bird Brain... Oh that's good that Lucy's started to talk!! They sounds so adorable don't they. Sometimes it takes sooooo long to figure out what they are saying. I find that some of Apollo's words aren't clear at all, so I have to think of tones of words I say and put it to that... Have fun with Lucy... |
