yeah, my too talk up a storm when he's in his hyper mode. He never used to talk infront of us, will only talk when he thinks no one's listening, but now, he just doesn't care anymore!!! LOL
He hasn't got a very clear voice, but I know that he can say Hello (he has a different hello for answering phone too when it rings or when I'm on the phone!! ), Good boy, Hellboy (a mixture of hello and good boy) Apollo, polo (what we normally call him for short) cuddle cuddle, step up, hey pols pols (this is his latest one). I think he's got a few other vocabs but I can't remember... he can mimic alot of noise as well... barking, cat's figting meow thing, cough, sneeze, my smoke alarm, and the lastest, the washing machine beep when it finishes...he can also whistles mainly wolfwhistle really..
His first word was step up, and first time I heard it he was about 7-8 months old. he's now 1yr and 8months
Dayna, just keep talking to Dory constantly... and in context is the best I found it. Repeating words is ok, but I find that Apollo loose interest after the fifth times I've repeated the words and he just goes on his merrily way again!! LOL...
Fi, I'm glad that you like Apollo's vids. |

Oh really? You aren't allowed to watch the link? that's odd as they are being shared publically.. may be it's your computer security settings. not sure.
Yes I have heard of many SC2 talk. but of course this is up to the individual bird as to whether it'll talk good or not at all. |

That's exciting to hear dayna! I'm sure she is trying to learn to talk, seems they just need to practice their words a little for awhile some times I'm sure she'll be chatting your ears off soon!
can't wait to see the video! |

yeah when they pick up a word they tend to mumble it quite a bit... and sometimes they will never get it right... but you tend to be able to tell as that's how you say it, you know the tone and stuff..
Oh with the video, you can go to either putfile.com, or youtube.com and you can upload the file there but as long as they are under 100mb... even photobucket you can upload vids to now. I can't wait to see it. |

Well the king doesn't think so but I do! I have difficulties understanding him sometimes. Though his vocabulary isn't very large: Mostly sentences with Zazu in it! |
