I have heard very very different voice from different long bills corella, and even little corella, and they can be so different! there's this one bird that hangs out at a bird shop, his voice is very very raspy, and then there's this other one in another bird shop that is very clear and sharp, and in the same place theres a female that sounds like a bloke. Apollo I think is in between raspy and clear/sharp.. depending on what he's saying. I'm still trying to figure out a lot of 'words' he's pulling out, but can't figure it out. he's not a very clear bird in terms of pronouciation.
Oh, that's intersting how different corellas have really different voices depending on the individual... just like people
Funny how that is, since it seems ALL Eclectus sound the same way, and I think lots of species are like that, where all individuals sound pretty much the same within their species.
I thought you had a dog named Radar!! Maybe a neighbor does, and Apollo heard it one day? His voice did sound slightly raspy, and not like Mike Tyson I've always read that the Corellas; Slender Billed and Bare Eyed are supposedly the best and clearest talking of the cockatoos...

oh no, no dogs or cats here with that name.. nor do any of my neighbours... hehe.. still trying to figure out what he says.. hehe.. I have suspicions that he's copying me when I tell him off... the tone sort of sounds like how I would say it, but definitely not the sound though.. hehe..
really? I would have thought that the M2 or U2 are better talkers... I've heard so many M2 talk so clearly! but I guess I've heard quite a few corellas talk too... The corellas that I have met generally have similar voice which are closer to sharp and clear than raspy. but there are a few that sounds 'course'.. hehe

I have read several times that the M2 or U2 is an average talker like a Macaw, but not outstanding. I haven't personally witnessed a great talking M2 or U2. Maybe a few raspy words... but I'm sure there are exceptions out there!
