Blue crowns are great, but they can produce quite a bit of noise! They're considered very noisy. Smile

We recently got a Blue Crown and I haven't found him to be terribly noisy. That isn't to say he doesn't vocalize, and he can be pretty loud when he wants to be (like when he's contact calling).

By and large, though, he's more into trying out "inside voice" kinds of vocalizations, including making kiss noises and laughing. When we're sleeping, even if he's not covered up (the other day we took a nap) he plays quietly in his cage with his toys and hasn't made a fuss.

He has plenty of toys to keep him occupied, though. One of the local bird stores has bulk toy parts so you can build your own on the cheap -- it's been a God send.

I don't claim to know everything, or anything, and Chongo certainly isn't every bird out there, but I know what we've experienced with him, and aside from some training, he's been a sweet, affectionate, reasonably well-mannered bird.
