CJ will be joining an on-line conure chat!  Reply with quote

For those who didn't see my celebration last summer, CJ's photo was chosen as a cover photo for the Animal Planet's Pet Care Library book "Conures". I have since been in contact with the author, Dr. Carol Frischmann, who has been excited to learn CJ's story and to keep up with changes in CJ's life (like, when, after 12 years, we found CJ was a girl!) LOL!.

Sales were so good, that CJ's book is now in it's second printing!

Anyway, Dr. Frischmann has her own website, and is trying to get some on-line webinars and classes going. One of her first general chats is scheduled for tonight, Feb 15 at 9pm Eastern Time. I hope admin here does not mind if I post the info. I know that Dr. Frischmann is really hoping for a good turn out and alot of participation. CJ and I will definitely be there. I have also invited CJ's vet, Dr. Susan Clubb, and CJ's first parronts, my Aunt and Uncle!

Anyone who wants to join is MORE than welcome!
Here's the info:

Please join me on Friday, Feb. 15 at 9:00 pm Eastern, 6:00 pm Pacific time, for an online chat, hosted by Pethobbyist.com, about Conures and general parrot keeping.

If you are available to login and say hello and ask a question (for those of you newer to parrot keeping) or provide expertise (for those of you who are longtime breeders, keepers, suppliers, vets), please do. I'd love to "see" you. Link from my website homepage (www.thiswildlife.com) or at http://chat.pethobbyist.com/login.php?.

The chat is based on my book, Conures, published by TFH in 2007. I owe many of you continuing thanks for your support with my efforts to "get the facts right," and provide answers to questions readers have. As you may know, the purpose of “Conures” was to help people decide if a pet bird is really for them (with an emphasis on Conures) and to provide basic information and skills to help bird owners develop an unshakable relationship with their birds. The goal, which we all share, is to keep pet birds in their homes.

Best wishes,

Carol
