| Dobby's first words! :D |
|
|
Dobby spoke his first words yesterday.
When I called him over, he replied "Dobby".
Then, when he was playing tag with my sister, he yelled "anna"
Now he yells her name whenever he is scared, dissapointed, nervouse or angry. |

That's great!
Watch out what you're saying now.
Is the voice clear or kind of mumbled? - high? gravelly? |

Hi Sveta,
Maybe you are disappointed that Dobby is saying your sisters name and not your one.
If so, don't be. He is imitating you. You are yelling "Anna" so will he.
So think very carefully what you are saying, even when you are angry or annoyed , because homebird is very right.
Did you know that parrots and parakeets like the nasty words even more than the good words.
I have learned it the hard way. |

His voice is kinda low and screachy. And as far as being upset, I'm not. My sister is the one that makes the most of the trouble, when I yell, it's usually because a tornado went through in my room.

Hi sveta,
Hope that you are not angry with me?
Or are the smilies for your older/younger sister?
Let us know if he speaks some other words. |

You could call your sister the Tornado & get Dobby too as well!
I remember when my friend Sarah 1st announced her Budgie Jerry was speaking - you could almost imagine her running around the house in excitement. That was 2 years ago & I think she said he says over 200 words now & lot in context. The really sweet thing is, he's teaching the new Budgie all his words.
Let us know how it goes. |

It's OK. I'm not angry. The "angryies" were for my little sister.
when we grind his beak my mom says "quiet".
Now when he bites someone and they react, he says something like " qui " |
