Finally! A bath!  Reply with quote

I've had Pico, my sun conure, just over a week. I've been experimenting with bath time to see what he likes. Basically, he doesn't "mind" anything, but he doesn't relish in his bath time.

Finally, today, I caught him bathing in his water bowl. He was having a grand time, and even let me take pictures. I'll post them soon. I'm busy having my ears preened right now. Smile And hopefully not having my eye glasses destroyed.

Pickles loves a bath in his lixit bath. He looks just about like the bird in this ad when he uses his. Very Happy

It's funny because to me it looks so small for him. But when I give him a bigger bowl he still chooses this one instead. He and the budgies both love this one.

Smokey on the other hand refuses to bathe in anything but her waterbowl. She hangs on to the bars on top of the bowl with her beak. Puts her feet in and splashes. I will try to get a video of this because she really does look so funny when she does this. Very Happy

Aw! Cute! Does he do the "conure water dance"? Its when they wiggle their wings. My fiery-shoulder does it when he bathes in his bowl. Very Happy

Thanks Cheeta! I love him to death. I swear he's grown in the 2 weeks I've had him. I need to weigh him again, and see if it's just my imagination.

He was a screamer yesterday, but is much more content today. His routine was the same yesterday, but my stress level was higher. I'm thinking he maybe picked up on that, LOL.

Oh yes, those birds sure know how to pick up the vibes their humans send out... I hope things a lot less stressful for you now... and I guess having a high pitched screamer in the house doesn't help with the stress huh..

Well I hope things settles for you and little gorgeous Pico.. and he can get back to his bathing in his waterbowl business. hehe

I have a web cam on Pico now. He was just having a bath, but is finished now.

It loads a still shot to start, but click on either ActiveX control or Java control to see live streaming video. Very Happy
